Some examples include, colchicine, bile acid sequestrants like cholestyramine,, coumarin anticoagulants, niacin, lomitapide, certain calcium channel blockers like verapamil, diltiazem and amlodipine, amiodarone, fibrates, fusidic acid, gemfibrozil, cyclosporine, danazol, and potent or moderate inhibitors of CYP3A4. Be sure to talk with your healthcare provider about all medications, supplements and over-the-counter products you take before starting simvastatin.

Can I drink grapefruit juice with simvastatin?

If you are taking simvastatin you should avoid drinking grapefruit juice as this can lead to accumulation of simvastatin in your blood and lead to drug-food interactions. Other statins, like Zypitamag (pitavastatin) do not have this limitation.
