What is the black box warning for Ozempic?

Should a non-diabetic take Ozempic for weight loss?

Ozempic isn't currently approved for weight loss in people without diabetes. 

Should Ozempic be refrigerated?

Store your pen in use for 56 days at room temperature between 59ºF to 86ºF (15ºC to 30ºC) or in a refrigerator between 36°F to 46°F (2°C to 8°C). The Ozempic® pen you are using should be disposed of (thrown away) after 56 days, even if it still has Ozempic® left in it.

What are the tips and tricks for administering Ozempic?

Ozempic should be injected just under the skin into the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Change injection sites each week so that you are not injecting into the same bit of skin every week. Always inspect the injection and do not use Ozempic if it contains particles or discoloration is seen.

What is Ozempic?

Ozempic is prescription medication. It is taken by injection. It is used to balance blood sugar levels in people with Type 2 diabetes. It should be taken once a week, with or without food, at any time of the day. Nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain are common with Ozempic. These usually get better over time.

When should I take Ozempic?

Ozempic should be administered once weekly on the same day each week, at any time of the day, with or without meals. The day of weekly administration can be changed if necessary as long as the time between 2 doses is at least 2 days (>48 hours).

How long does it take for Ozempic to work?

It can take Ozempic (Semaglutide) up to 5 weeks to start lowering your blood glucose levels. The maximum effect will not been seen for 3-6 months.

Do I require a prescription for Ozempic?

Yes. Ozempic is an FDA-approved medications and can only be dispensed with a valid prescription.
