What is Desvenlafaxine?

Desvenlafaxine (brand name: Khedezla®) is a medication used to treat depression. It belongs to a group of medications called serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs). This type of medication works by increasing chemicals in your brain called serotonin and norepinephrine.

This medication is used daily and does not provide immediate relief. It can take at least 4 weeks or more for a noticeable effect. When first taking you may experience some unpleasant side effects, however, they generally decrease or go away after 4–8 weeks.
